Terms of Service.

Last updated: 29 April 2026. Plain English. The Pixel Promise — pay only when you are 100% satisfied — is written into every contract we sign. This page is the website-level summary; your project-specific contract supersedes anything below in case of conflict.

1. The agreement

By engaging Pixel Architecture (operated by Pixel Labs) for a website, portal, or ongoing service, you agree to these terms. For paid engagements we also issue a project-specific Statement of Work (SOW) signed by both sides; if anything in the SOW conflicts with this page, the SOW wins.

2. The Pixel Promise

Pay only when you are 100% satisfied.

This is the core promise — not marketing copy, but a contractual term written into every SOW:

  • $0 upfront. No deposit, no escrow, no "design fee".
  • We build to spec, then ship a live preview on a private domain for your review.
  • You only release payment once you confirm in writing you are 100% satisfied with the delivery.
  • If we miss the mark, we keep iterating at no extra cost until either (a) you are satisfied, or (b) you call it — in which case you owe nothing and we walk away.

"100% satisfied" is defined against the SOW. We don't accept arbitrary scope-creep as a reason to withhold payment, but anything inside the agreed scope must be right by your standard before any invoice is due.

3. Scope & deliverables

Each engagement is governed by an SOW that lists the pages, features, integrations, content, and timeline. Items outside that list are change requests, scoped and priced separately before we touch them. We do not start a change request until you have explicitly approved it.

4. Payment terms

  • Invoices are issued only after you have confirmed the delivery meets the SOW.
  • Net 7 from invoice date for fixed-fee builds. Net 14 for retainers.
  • Accepted methods: bank transfer (Wise / SWIFT), Stripe card, or other agreed channel.
  • Late payments accrue 1.5% per month after 30 days, but only after a written reminder.
  • For multi-phase projects (e.g. Pro tier with portal) we may agree milestone payments tied to specific deliverables — each milestone retains the "pay-on-satisfaction" structure.

5. Timeline & revisions

Quoted timelines (Starter 3 days, Growth 7 days, Pro 14 days) start from the moment we receive the brand assets, content, and answers to the discovery questionnaire. Pixel-Architecture-side delays are on us; client-side delays are not. Each tier includes a defined number of revision rounds inside the SOW; additional rounds are billed at our standard rate, agreed in writing first.

6. Ownership & intellectual property

  • Source code. Once you've paid the final invoice, the source code, design files, and copy we created for you are yours, with full transferable copyright.
  • Pre-existing IP. Anything we built before your engagement (our internal libraries, design tokens, component patterns) remains ours. We grant you a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use it as part of your project.
  • Third-party assets. Stock images, fonts, and licensed components are governed by their original licences, which we transfer or proxy as required.
  • Portfolio rights. We may showcase the project in our portfolio and case studies unless you ask us not to in writing.

7. Lifetime free hosting

Every package ships with hosting on a high-performance global edge platform (currently Vercel) for the lifetime of the project, included in the one-time fee. "Lifetime" means as long as Pixel Architecture continues to operate; if we ever wind the service down, we'll provide at least 90 days' notice and full migration support to a host of your choice. If you ever want to migrate sooner, we hand over the source code and walk your team through the move at no charge.

8. Free technical support

Starter includes 1 month of post-launch technical support. Growth and Pro include 3 months. Support covers bug fixes, content updates, broken-link patches, performance tuning, and minor visual adjustments. It does not cover net-new features, redesigns, additional pages beyond the SOW count, or third-party services we did not deploy. After the free period, you can extend with our retainer or pay per change — both at the rate quoted on the pricing page.

9. Warranties

We warrant that the work is original, does not knowingly infringe anyone's IP, and meets the SOW. We don't warrant uninterrupted hosting, third-party API uptime, or specific business outcomes. Statistical claims on the site (lead lift, Lighthouse, etc.) are aggregated indications based on past projects, not guarantees of your result.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the total fees you paid us for that project in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You can stop a project at any time before invoice. Because of the Pixel Promise, you owe nothing if you walk away before accepting delivery. After acceptance & invoice, normal contractual obligations apply. We may terminate engagements that involve unlawful content, repeated abusive behaviour toward our team, or non-payment after written notice; we don't make those decisions lightly.

12. Use of this website

You may browse, read, share, and link to pixelarchitecture.dev freely. The on-site AI chatbot is provided as a sales assistant; it sometimes makes mistakes, so anything important should be confirmed in writing with a human. Don't try to scrape, reverse-engineer, or attack the site or its API. The brand name "Pixel Architecture" and the Pixel Architecture mark are trademarks of Pixel Labs.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in your SOW. If no SOW exists yet (e.g. you're just visiting the site), local consumer-protection rules in your country still apply where mandatory. Disputes are first attempted in good-faith conversation before escalation.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms: our email. Subject line "Terms question" gets routed straight to a founder. Response within one business day.
